Most of the Himalayan Rivers are perennial in nature.

1. Most of the Himalayan Rivers originates in the snow covered southern heights of the Himalayan range. So they are well fed by rains during the rainy season through the southwesterly monsoon winds.

2. They are also fed (give) by the melting snow during summer. So, most of the Himalayan rivers are perennial in nature.
