3x – 7y = 15; 6x = 14y + 10

(iii) 3x – 7y = 15; 6x = 14y + 10

Sol. 3x – 7y = 15
Comparing with a1x + b1y = c1 we get, a1 = 3, b1 = – 7, c1 = 15

6x = 14y + 10
∴  6x – 14y = 10.
Comparing with a2x + b2y = c2 we get, a2 = 6, b2 = – 14, c2 = 10

a1/a2 = 3/6 = 1/2 ............ eq. no. (i)
b1/b2 = -7/-14 = 1/2 ............ eq. no. (ii)
c1/c2 = 15/10 = 3/2 ............ eq. no. (iii)
From Equation (i) , (ii) and (iii) we get

a1/a2 = b1/b2  ≠  c1/c2
