Ans. Monoclinic sulphur is also known as
prismatic or β – sulphur.
- It is crystalline. The crystals are transparent, pale yellow and needle shaped.
- It is soluble in carbon disulphide.
- It is stable between 94.50C and 1200C. It is crystallises from molten sulphur.
- It is converted into rhombic sulphur when cooled below 94.50C.
