Subject: Letter of thanks

Respected Madam,

I have been a pupil of your school from 2001 to 2010. I passed my SSC examination in March, 2010. Perhaps you may recollect that I was the winner of the prize at the 2009 Inter-school English debate.

You will be glad to know that I have been able to secure a good job. I could not continue my studies after Std. XII because of financial difficulties and family responsibilities, and had to look for a job.

Last month I was fortunate enough to get a job as an office assistant in the sales department ‘Modern Electronics’, a company marketing electronic goods. It is a job with a good start and excellent prospects.

I am today what you all have made me. How can I forget that Rane Sir had once paid my fees? How can I ever forget my classmates who put in their contributions to take me along for excursions?

My employers have been very happy with my conduct and I think I owe it my school. Your strict discipline and efficient teaching  have been of immense benefit to me.

Madam, how shall I ever reply my debt to you all? If ever I can be of any service to our school, please let me know, and I shall be only too glad to render it.

With feelings of deep gratitude,

Yours respectfully,

XYZ
