i. Find the next three terms of sequence: 3, 9, 27, 81, ...

ii. Check whether x = 1  is the solution of the quadratic equation x2 – 4x + 3 = 0.

iii. Solve  2x + 3y = 5; x – 6y = - 20.

iv. Transform it using sign of variation: The wave length of sound (λ) and its frequency (μ)   are in inverse proportion.

v. Sum of two numbers is 20 and their difference is 4. Find the numbers.

i. A man borrows Rs. 4000 and agrees to repay with a total interest of Rs. 680 in 12 monthly instalments, each instalment being less than the preceding one by Rs. 20. Find the amount of the first and the last instalment.

ii. Solve the quadratic equation by using formula method. 3x2 + 2x + 1 = 0

iii. Sum of two natural numbers is 70. One of the number is greater by 10 than twice the other. Find the numbers.

i. Number of taps and time required to fill up a tank are in inverse proportion. 6 taps are required to fill a tank in 1 hour 10 minutes. How long will it take if only 5 taps of the same type are used?

ii. The length of a piece of cloth varies directly as its cost. The cost of the cloth having length 24 m is Rs. 840. Find the length of a cloth having cost Rs. 525.

iii. Split 10 into two parts such that the sum of their squares is 52.
