How are neurons classified ? State their functions.

1. Neurons are of three types i.e. sensory neuron, motor neuron and association neuron.
2. Sensory neurons conduct impulses from the sense organs to the brain and spinal cord.
3. Motor neurons conduct impulses from the brain and spinal cord to the effector organs like muscles and glands.
4. Association neurons perform integrative functions of the nervous system.
