To Make Both Ends Meet
Meaning: To be able to meet one's expenses; To live within one's income.
Example: The cost of living is skyrocketing to greater heights. On the other hand, there is little increase in the income. Naturally, an ordinary man will find it very difficult to make both ends meet.
