Simple Bar graph?
- It is one dimensional
diagram. it is also known as pillar diagram or column graph. the height of
the bar is proportional to the value of an element.
- when the variations are
small this method is very effective. The vertical axis indicates the
production of commodity while the horizontal shows various regions or time
period.
- Method: -Find out the
highest and lowest values of data. Accordingly select a scale. Plot the
points that will determine the height of bars. draw pillars or bars upto
the plotted heights.
uses: - Bar graph is very useful for comparative
study of elements of various regions. Agricultural production, Industrial
productions, etc.
