i. Planning lays down the common objectives of the organisation.  the various components of planning such as policies, strategies, procedures, schedules and programs serve as  means of integrating activities of different groups and departments.

ii. A sound organisation structure defines the interrelationship between different positions and work units. It involves grouping of activities into homogeneous departments.  The roles will be will not be clear without the integration of different activities.

iii. Staffing function seeks to put right person on different jobs.  The various aspects of Staffing such as manpower planning,  recruitment,  selection,  training,  etc performed to match job requirement and employee skills.  This helps in achieving coordination in assigning task to different individuals.
