Life Science: It deals with the structure and
behaviour of living organisms, including the study of Botany, Biochemistry,
Physiology, Entomology, Zoology, Microbiology and Genetic Engineering, etc.
How to Get In: Students who have chosen PCM and PCB
in 12th standards are eligible for this field. Public Universities facilitate
admission on the basis of cut - off marks of your 12th Results. Private
universities conduct their own tests. In case of Postgraduate courses there are
national level entrance tests for prominent institutes like IITs, IISERs, IISc
etc.
What to Study: Life Science Field curriculum touches
many aspects of our lives from healthcare education, to environment education,
to debates on stem cells research, biotechnology and genetic testing, etc.
