Dear Mohammed,
I returned from Kandla a couple of days
back. I want to tell you about some interesting people I met on my journey.
There was a family from Bengal whose two
children kept on chirping continuously. They were very cute and very friendly. Both,
the boy and the girl, were studying in a good school in Kolhapur and were very
clever indeed. I enjoyed teaching them a few tricks of my own.
There was also a newly married couple
from Gujarat who wanted to share each of their food items with us. We really
had a grand time enjoying a typical Gujarati fare all through the journey.
The most interesting pair was a
Maharashtrian elderly couple hotly arguing all the way. But you could see
through their arguments that they were extremely fond of each other. Their
conversation, of course, was very interesting.
This journey was indeed highly amusing.
Do tell me about your trip to
Mahabaleshwar in your next letter.
Your sincere friend,
