(ii) The sum of two numbers is 28. Write this information in linear equation of two variables. (Use variables x and y)

(iv) If printed price is Rs. 50 and selling price is Rs. 45, then find the amount of discount.

(v) If sale price is Rs. 200 and CST is Rs. 4, then find the actual selling price.

(vi) If printed price is Rs. 500 and discount is Rs. 50, then find the selling price.

(iii) Solve the following simultaneous equations by the method of elimination.
x + y = 0; x - y = 2.

(iv) If x y  and x = 20 when y = 5, then find constant of variation and the equation of variation.

(v) Determine whether the given sequence is an A.P.: 3, 6, 9, 12, ........

(vi) Calculate the education cess at the rate of 3% on the income tax Rs. 600 for F.Y. 2012 - 13.

(iv) The wavelength of a sound and its frequency are inversely proportional to each other. If the frequency is 280 Herts, then wavelength is 60 cm. Find the frequency when the wavelength is 100 cm.

(iii) Solve the following simultaneous equations:
