Thermal energy can be generated from solar radiation and can be used for electricity production. Different stages in such solar thermal power plant are shown below:
Concentrators collect sunlight. Absorber absorbs all the concentrated sunlight. Here the solar energy is converted into heat energy. Using this heat energy steam is generated to drive the turbine and generator. The electrical energy is hence generated.
